Building on the success and reputation of our team and strategic advisors, Vaalon Capital enjoys significant support from its investor base, which includes some pension funds / financial institutions and several large international family offices
Our flexible structure and the nature of our capital providers mean that we can provide “patient” capital, as we are not bound by the usual restrictions of typical blind-pool funds to exit within a pre-determined period. As such, we focus on the longer-term prospects of businesses in which we invest and can work with management to support the implementation of agreed strategies rather than focus on short term returns

Our team and strategic advisors have successfully invested across all investment stages and through several complete economic cycles, which gives us the necessary experience to handle the challenges that inevitably arise when growing an investee company. Investment Strategy

We pursue a highly opportunistic investment approach, unhindered by the rigidity of more traditional Private Equity funds. We engage primarily with companies with an enterprise value range of between $100 million and $500 million. Our target equity ‘ticket’ size is between $15 - $100 million with the potential for more to be deployed during our investment period

We seek to invest in a broad cross-section of scalable industrial and service businesses. While actual experience of past investments and sectors inevitably means that we have an affinity with certain sectors, our aim remains to be more opportunistic in selecting transactions / opportunities, with a preference for focusing on the prospects of a particular transaction rather than its sector fit

However, Vaalon Capital is not just about providing funding. We aim to become true partners, bringing relevant
knowledge, experience and international contacts necessary to help management execute on their business plan, whether that is through international expansion or developing new products and/or offerings
Appropriate incentivisation of management teams is essential and we aim to ensure a strong alignment of interest between management and shareholders including through bonus schemes and long term incentive plans

Wherever possible, we seek to insulate management from regulatory bureaucracy, so that they can focus on enhancing performance. Additionally, we endeavor to play a major role in any M&A situations with a view to ensuring that the process of concluding these deals doesn’t cause a distraction for management and a drag on operational performance
